Time of Fire

By the mid-1970s, the Friends of the Western Buddhist Order was beginning to put down real roots. From London squats to village halls, from Brighton basements to New Zealand orchards, communities of seekers worked, laughed, and struggled together to turn vision into reality. This film tells the story of those years of colour and chaos, friendship and conflict, when dreams of a Buddhist life in the modern world first became bricks, mortar, and community.
